News On Obstructed License Plates

We’ve all heard the news and read the headlines. Over the past two years, law enforcement has acted on legislation concerning obstructed license plates. As cyclists and motorist, our bike racks offer few options in safely transporting our bikes.

The League of Michigan Bicyclists recently confirmed that a new law has been drafted that excludes bike racks from falling into the category of an obstructing item. That’s huge news, and the law will go into effect on May 16, which means we’ll be able to enjoy spring and summer riding without worrying about being targeted.
